Optimal Discretization of a Continuous-Time Controller

We present a procedure for the discretisation of a continuous time controller based on a weighted induced-norm minimisation. The optimal H-infinity discretiation problem is converted into a standard sampled-data synthesis framework, for which solutions have been given by Bamieh and Pearson. The results are compared with approximate design procedures proposed by other authors.
